I’m Aaron Carvalho, a visual designer based in Navi Mumbai specializing in brand identity, packaging, visual storytelling, and digital interfaces.
Focused on research-driven design and systematic visual thinking. I partner with brands to craft intentional, functional, and meaningful identity systems.
My journey started as a kid who loved to sketch. I tried making photorealistic portraits and sketches, and even comics that, unfortunately, never survived the test of time.
I can't find them anymore :'(
As a child, I was obsessed with sketching and playing football. And guess who loved watching cartoons? Still do. But as I grew, I started looking at things differently.
I developed a love for understanding paintings, which I would once look at and just move on from. Now, I spend time looking at them and trying to understand what they want to say, letting them open up their world. That curiosity slowly found its way into other things I loved. I developed a love for books, fictional ones for starters (I hated reading and only recently started reading, and all it took was one good professor to change my thinking.) Books with deeper meanings, like Life of Pi. What's it about? The tiger? Pi, a boy who wants to believe in God? His struggles, and how his mind shaped them for him?
Music does something similar for me. It plays a very important role in my life. A life-changing lyric is not everyone's piece of cake, but it is for me. And somewhere along the way, this way of looking at things started finding its way into my work too.
What is my work without meaning? Nothing. Whether people understand it or not, I believe every work should have some depth to it. That's what I'm learning through all the hobbies I've picked up. I wish younger me had allowed himself to make mistakes, to imagine, and not just chase the perfect realistic portrait. But well, it's never to late.
Thanks for coming across my little corner of the internet.
